At Kevin Joseph Hairdressers in Uxbridge, all our towels and gowns are 100% biodegradable. We use Scrummi biodegradable products which are used by the top hair salons across the UK and Europe.
These biodegradable towels are more absorbent than typical salon towels, which means we use fewer towels and waste less water. Scrummi products are manufactured in the EU which helps us to reduce our carbon footprint as they have less of a journey to travel to reach us.
Scrummi biodegradable towels are also a hygienic and eco-friendly alternative to the typical, cotton salon towels. They are made from soft, natural wood fibres from sustainable forestry programs therefore they’re vegan too.

All Wella factories and distribution centres use 100% renewable energy. Their largest distribution centre has switched plastic parcels with 100% recycled paper, which has helped reduce plastic waste. Also, the majority of Wella colour portfolio now uses 100% recycled aluminium.
Even the speed at which hair colour rinses out is crucial to the environment. If a formula washes out quickly, it allows us to use less water in the salon. Did you know that one minute of rinsing your hair sends more than 10 litres of water down the drain? That’s why we use Wella's Illlumina Color and Koleston Perfect, which have a creamy consistency which is quick to wash out of your hair.
